Lunigiana is an area in north-west Tuscany it is a finger of land bordered by Liguria to the west and north, and Emilia Romagna to the east. It is served by good rail and road links, with both Pisa and Genova airports within 75 minutes drive. Visitors to Lunigiana are equally divided between those that drive and those who take advantage of low cost flights with RyanAir and then hire a car at the airport.
